01. Botanica, The Wichita Gardens
Visit Botanica Wichita Garden is an incredible experience in Wichita. Stunningly, the garden celebrates the horticultural arts in the garden. It is open all year around and boasts over 30 garden themes to enjoy. Try walking in the edgy Downing Childrens Garden for the Monster Woods exhibition or watching kids play outside the treehouse.
Visit the Shakespeare Garden and see botanical and floral examples from the Elizabethan era. Embrace butterfly gardens and a pond pavilion as you explore 17 acres of landscape, sculptures and a variety of plants.
02. Mushroom Rock, Mushroom Rock State Park
It has several spectacular rock formations known as "hoodoos". This strange formation forms due to uneven erosion and weathering, which gives rocks the appearance of mushrooms. The smaller state park provides an exceptional environment that has been designated a ‘8 Wonders of Kansas Geoscience'.
The rocks have been used as a landmark and meeting spot for generations. The Mushroom Rock State Park features many captivating rock formations called ‘hoodoos'. Mushroom Rock State Park is the smallest state park in Kansas.
03. Sedgwick County Zoo, Wichita
In Kansas, the Sedgwick County Zoo is among the most visited places for families. Children will love more than 300 animals from more than 400 different animal groups. Highlights included elephant gorillas, lions and squawker tigers. The zoo has walking trails or free buses. The bus runs hourly with narration in progress.
A good choice for visitors to visit the Zoo on a weekend could be a boat trip, leaving every 15 minutes (additional fee). Animal interaction is available and includes observation of penguins, rhinos, and other mammals in exchange for additional fees. Giraffes are easy animals to interact with.
04. Monument Rocks National Natural Landmark
It has since become a natural heritage site for the first time. The vast Chalky Formation is magnificent and irreplaceable rising unpredictably from the plain pasture surrounding the area from all sides.
They reach 70ft and are encased in chalk, where fossilised fish can be found. Keyholes create a big gap in a monument and offer an excellent window onto Kansas sun reflected in the sun. Afterwards you will visit the Keystone Gallery nearby. The museum focuses on the full "out-of-grid" power it produces by using solar or wind energy.
05. Oz Museum
Continue on yellow brick road to Oz Museum Wamego. The museum focuses all of its contents upon the Wizard of Oz, an important pop cultural film. One famous quote from Wizard of Oz is, we'll be away from Missouri. The Oz Museum starts in quiet towns, but once you reach the gates, you will be transported to Oz.
The Oz Museum holds more than 2000 items of collectibles. The model is full-size with Dorothy Toto and friends. Many things can be found about the original novels and their remakes.
06. Wetlands near Lawrence
Baker wetlands represent a diverse environment with numerous bird and animal populations. Baker manages this wetlands and uses the land to teach students about biodiversity. The university plans to expand the area of the wetlands as well as protect the land. The site includes an educational centre offering helpful information about nature and the Wetland history.
07. Eisenhower Presidential Library, Museum, and Boyhood Home, Abilene
Despite your knowledge and understanding of Dwight D. Eisenhower's history, you may not be able to visit his boyhood home and his Presidential Library while visiting Abilene. The building includes five buildings, including the Presidential Library with displays and research archives and a museum.
This museum was recently revamped for more interactive activities. Ike and Mamie will talk about the cause they love. The Eisenhower Presidential Library is located in Abilene, and it is connected to the Dwight D. Eisenhower Museum as well as Eisenhower's boyhood home.
08. Evel Knievel Museum, Topeka
There has never been another American daredevil – Vel Knievel. It features an impressive collection of artifacts and historical information on the legendary stuntman. It contains 2 stories that range from Evel Knivels motorcycle helmets and colourful costumes.

09. Fort Larned National Historic Site
Military enthusiasts will love visiting the Fort Larned National Monument at Larne. It was built as a post in Santa Fe that housed soldiers in the 1860s. It contains forts and other historic buildings which were preserved before Buffalo Bill walked around town in 1889.

10. Kansas State Capitol, Topeka
Bring your Kansas experience to a new level by walking through Kansas's Capitol in Topeka. The capital complex covers 20 acres in the heart of downtown and has become an important architectural treasure for architects.
The building in France of Renaissance-style took 37 years to build before it began in 1866. The artwork, sculptures and regular programs on the Capitol are always intriguing but for an authentic experience, you can go for free Dome Tours.

11. Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve
Have you ever questioned how America was a country when farmers had orderly fields for wheat? Plan your tour of Tallgrass Prairie National Park in Kansas, Flint Hills. The region is arguably one of the only locations to be visited to experience the magnificence of this unique ecosystem.
You can travel by bus or by e-book or go for hikes to the nearby mountains at your own pace. Only four percent of America's original tallgrass prairies exist today, but the Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve seeks to protect what remains.
Located outside of Strong City, this preserve is home to several miles of hiking trails. If so, plan a visit to the Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve in the Kansas Flint Hills.
12. Boot Hill, Dodge City
Are people interested in experiencing the Wild West? Make an appointment at Boot Hill in Dodge City. There's been nothing that has changed much in the past 30-40 years. Hundreds of objects and pictures depict Dodge City' s early history, from its business to its culture and history, are stored at the Boothill Museum.
Take time to walk around historical buildings such as a schoolhouse and Fort Dodge jail. Give an impression of General Store and local Saloons from early 1900s. During special events such as the upcoming street shootouts of the Boot Hill gunfighters which happen twice daily during the summer the best days to visit are.

13. Spencer Museum of Art, Lawrence
It has more than 45,000 artworks across all formats and mediums and is one of the only museums for artists of the State. The collection was compiled by Lawrence University and is aimed toward academics who combine art and knowledge in an interdisciplinarian way.
Permanent collections include Asian, European, American, Latin American, Native American, American and other art. Throughout the year, the museum offers a wide variety of visitor programs aimed at engaging artists on a deeper level. Address: 1201 Mississippi St. Lawrence, Kansas.
14. Flint Hills Discovery Center, Manhattan
One of Missouris most interesting interactive centers is located in Flint Hills Discovery Park in Manhattan. While the center specializes in the Flint Hills history, the book is also about some of American cultural and natural history fundamentalities.
It has expositions that explore the nature of native American bison conservation, as well as the ecosystem of Tallgrass Prairie. Catch a screening of an immersive theatre experience where you can see Flint Hills winds blowing your hair while viewing an historical documentary about it.
One of the most fascinating interactive centers in Kansas is at the Flint Hills Discovery Center in Manhattan.
15. Cheyenne Bottoms Wildlife Area
Cheyenne Bottoms is America's largest wetland. There are thousands of bird nesting sites around and the site is also home to several other species of animals. It is therefore a perfect wildlife-watching location. The Wildlife Area offers walking routes which provide a perfect retreat for the nature-lovers.

16. Waterfalls at the Geary County Lake
Geary Lake Falls flows through the spring making the largest waterfall in Kansas. It offers excellent hiking trails through forests, to the lake and waterfalls. The falls are 33 ft high and are connected through a trail on Geary County Fishing lake which provides a beautiful view.
17. Keeper of the Plains and Mid-America All-Indian Center, Wichita
Native Americans roots are deep in Kansas and to learn more about their significance, visit the Keeper of the Plains statues in Keeper Plaza in Wichita. This 44-ft-tall Keeper of Plains steel statue is located on the public square where the Arkansas River flows into town.
The terrain of the area was cherished by Native Americans and the plaza commemorated the importance that Native Americans had in the area. Take a stroll through the square and head to the center of Native American culture. The highlight on the plaza is the breathtaking Fire 'Ring' spectacles which run nightly for 15 minutes each night.
18. Kansas Speedway
Take part in fast racing at Kansas Speedway. It offers a host of racing weekends and other races, and is an attractive tourist spot in Kansas City. KSA is a three-mile race track constructed in 2001.
This loop track has approximately 1.5 miles with numerous banks creating exciting courses to drive. During a weekend race, you can visit around 48,000 screaming spectators. It has a whole atmosphere including tailgating, outside racing, activity and of course, a racing race.
When entering Kansas Speedway you will be able to appreciate its high-quality facilities. It also offers restaurants at races.

19. SEA LIFE Kansas City Aquarium
You rarely think of aquatic life as your tour is centered around landlocked areas in the United States. You can find all of the animals that you love right here at Kansas City Aquarium. You've got an opportunity to explore the world's famous marine animals and see the marine fauna in the Lake District.
SEA LIFE offers special exhibitions on the site. Some themed sections include an ocean tunnel as well as an interactive swimming pool. Pass the tunnel and watch the fish swim from your balcony, above and behind you. You will have an opportunity to view sharks and some other fish. There is an estimated population of about 5500 marine mammals.
20. Safari Zoological Park
Take part in a wild animal experience at Safari Zoopark. Zoos in Kansas are an excellent place to visit animals. As a privately-owned animal park, you get intimate experiences from animal lovers from across Europe.
Safari Zoological Park is another highlight in Caney. It provides guided visits at safari sites, including lions and tigers, monkey and bird species among other creatures. It is great when the guide interacts with the animals.
There are many great images of Tigers sitting on their hind legs for food or bears grabbing the mouth of their tongue to kiss. The park offers various interactive activities.

21. World's Largest Collection of Smallest Versions of Largest Things
It's incredibly bizarre to visit Kansas right at Lucas Park. It is an important tourist attraction of the city. The museum was started as a travelling exhibition by the artist Erika Nelson. She began her journey by going to quirky places on the roadside throughout the country to recreate their small versions.
Her success in her museums made her a valuable place for the Lucas community. You can see smaller version of rubber band balls ketchup bottles, yarn balls etc. You can take in plenty of pictures, sculptures & scale models that will amaze you all through the tour.
22. Boot Hill Museum
This museum has a full reconstruction of Dodge City as it looked in 1876, and things like gunfight reenactments and chuckwagon dinners are all a part of the charm. The Boot Hill Museum has thousands of artifacts and photographs depicting Dodge City in its early years, from businesses to the social scene.
23. National Historic Site Fort
The site is set up like an 1860s army post called the "Guardians of the Santa Fe Trail," which housed troops.
24. Chalk Pyramids
The Chalk Pyramids, also known as Monument Rocks, can be found in Gove County, in northwest Kansas. This geological landmark is one of the natural wonders of the state. Monuments Rocks is, by some estimates, more than 80 million years old.
25. Overland Park
The beautiful landscape at the Overland Park Arboretum and Botanical Gardens is one of the top experiences in the state.
