01. Lake District, England
What's the reason you're going this month? If you want a better chance of a bright day of hiking counting on the sun to last a day at Lake District is a big problem. However in May there is no rain or wind in the highest mountain area in Britain.
But the bank holiday season has not been as busy. The famed Herdwick sheep had their lamb, so now they should be heading back down to the fell.
02. Mackinac Island, Michigan
Mackinac Island is the best place for a May vacation. Visiting this magical Michigan location is as much as bringing a memory back to a romantic and picturesque place. May guests are able to see beautiful gardens on the island without the crowded crowds that come to these lovely areas every summer.
You can get there by ferry between Mackinaw and St. Ignace. Afterwards, get ready to leave. This is not allowed on Mackinac Island, so you'll be traveling in horses, carriages or bicycles on your trip.
